The Caregiver Program is for skilled and semi-skilled individuals. However, you must meet some certain requirements such as education, language skill, as well as job experience to become eligible for this program. Caring for Children Program

If you have served as a full-time child care in a home in Canada, while living in or outside the home for at least two years, you can apply under this category. You must possess the necessary education, language skills, and job experience to apply for this category. Also, you should not have any previous criminal record to be eligible for this category.

Caring for People with High Medical Needs Program

Foreign nationals who have provided full-time care to people with high medical needs can apply under this category. Applicants must have at least 2 years of working experience in Canada. They must also possess required language ability, education, and relevant training. Any licensed practical nurse, aid or home support worker are eligible for this category.

Live-in Caregiver Program

If you have work experience of taking care of the child, elderly people or people with disabilities while living in the home in Canada, you can apply for permanent residence under this category. Individuals must have at least 2 years of authorized full-time live-in employment. Any previous criminal record of you or your family members may affect your application. The work experience you show must be earned within four years of your date of arrival.
