NOVA SCOTIA DEMAND: EXPRESS ENTRY

The Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream selects highly skilled individuals in accordance with the federal government’s Express Entry selection system under the following two categories:

• Category A: (applicants with a job offer)

• Category B: (applicants with experience in an opportunity occupation) 

NOVA SCOTIA EXPERIENCE: EXPRESS ENTRY

Highly skilled Applicants to qualify under the Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry in accordance with the federal government’s Express Entry selection system must have at least one year of experience working in Nova Scotia in a high skilled occupation.

SKILLED WORKER

Employers in Nova Scotia seeking to recruit foreign workers and recently graduated international students whose skills are in need can use the Skilled Worker stream. Applicants in skilled, semi-skilled, and low-skilled occupations may be eligible. In cases where positions are not possible to fill with permanent residents or Canadian citizens can only allow employers to hire foreign workers.

ENTREPRENEUR

Experienced business owners or senior business managers can use The Entrepreneur Stream to invest in a new business or purchase and improve an existing business in the province to move and live in Nova Scotia. 

INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE ENTREPRENEUR

Applicants who are recent graduates of a Nova Scotia university/community college who started or acquired a business operation managing it for at least a year may be nominated for permanent resident status if they intend to settle in Nova Scotia. Application to the stream is by invitation only.
